I use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) because it is deeply rooted in Jungian typology, which provides a comprehensive framework for understanding personality. Jung’s theories on psychological types emphasize the importance of individual differences and the dynamic interplay between conscious and unconscious processes. By using the MBTI, I can gain insights into my dominant and inferior functions, helping me to recognize my strengths and areas for growth. This understanding fosters personal development and enhances my ability to navigate relationships and professional environments. Additionally, the MBTI’s focus on Jungian concepts like introversion, extraversion, and the four cognitive functions (thinking, feeling, sensing, and intuiting) allows for a nuanced exploration of my personality, promoting greater self-awareness and holistic growth.
